Visitors to Los Angeles who enjoy hiking should consider one of the many routes through Griffith Park and surrounding
areas to get to the top of Mount Lee. The famous Hollywood sign is located on the south face of Mount Lee near the
summit.
Upper left
On this day we hiked from the Innsdale
trailhead. This is probably the shortest and least difficult way to access Mount Lee. It also one of the the lower
impact hikes in terms of bothering some of the fairly NIMBY neighbors that live around this part of Los Angeles.
Upper right
There's a small pedestrian gate to the left side of this large car gate, just before the start of the Mount Lee Drive
section of the walk. This area seems to have attained a few more gates and fences recently, but should remain accessible
during daylight hours.
Lower left
This is the view from the summit of Mount Lee facing south. Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown, mid-Wiltshire, etc all
the way out to Palos Verdes and Catalina on a clear day.
Lower right
I turned on GPS tracking for this hike, this is the basic Innsdale hike to Mount Lee.
