Mr Hallett was our Head teacher - he used to play the violin for the national anthem and our singing lessons. The school had 2 class rooms, grades 1 to 4 in one, other to grade 8. Then off to Dandenong High by bus, 35 miles. Leave home 7.10am, ride bike 3 1/2 miles to bus, after school arrive home 5.50pm."
